AT HOME WITH NATURE

All these photo's are taken, on or around our property.

We give the black birds Apples during the cold winter days. These can draw up to 14 black birds into the garden at one time.

They leave no waste. Evenually even this shell will be eaten.

We have around 30 - 40 little Wrens roosting in the roosting pouches we provide for them during the bitterly cold winter nights. Here are two Wrens just about to go to bed right outside our bedroom window. The pouches have blue / white plastic caps over them to make sure no rain leaks in.

The wood pecker in flight.

I adore these little birds, the 'Long tailed tit'. They fly from tree to tree in quite large groups but are to shy for me to photograph them close up.

Their scratching tree.

There is beauty where ever you look.

Nuthatch & two squabbling finches.

We all have to share !!!!.

THE SNOW CAN GET VERY DEEP HERE.
